Thomas Belesis is founder and CEO of John Thomas Financial which he had found in the year of 2007. He has named the company after his two grandfathers. For all the 5 years of providing valuable service to all its clients the company has grown from a three people brokerage firm to a big firm that employs a large force of 300 employees, John Thomas Financial has been providing a full range of retail brokerage, investment banking and corporate advisory services.

Tommy Belesis has got proper in depth knowledge of the markets and the global and national financial scenario and is regularly invited by many of the leading news channels to discuss about the macroeconomic trends and economic policy. Some of his most recent appearances have been on Fox Business News where he has discussed about the current events that have been unfolding in the Middle East with Neil Cavuto; also on Fox News in a programme known as Bulls & Bears where he has discussed the debt trends in the United States.

In his appearance on CNBC’s The Kudlow Report, Thomas gave his valuable inputs on the equity markets and also another time on FOX Business News with Neil Cavuto where he comprehensively compared the economic policies of the United States and Greece. Leading a life a professional financial expert he has also featured in a recent Hollywood blockbuster Wall Street II: Money Never Sleeps, where he acted as a trader alongside superstar Shia LaBeouf. His role in the making of the movie was just not restricted to acting as he also had served as an advisor to Director Oliver Stone, just to ensure that the film captured an authentic view of the Wall Street.

Tommy Belesis has also been actively playing his part as an ardent social activist as he supports many charitable and welfare making organizations like the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society, the Greek America Foundation and Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research and rescue charities.  He has also supported many social causes that fight for animal rights. Thomas Belesis received the Businessman of the Year Award from the Queens County Republican Party in May 2011 and recently an issue of Greek America Magazine has named him as one of its 25 Most Intriguing People of 2010. In December 2010, he had featured as the “New Face of Wall Street” in the Downtown Magazine.
